Hi Ladies. I received a message from Sister Crockett this morning and it is GOOD NEWS! I am going to just type a repeat of the message I received so nothing is missed...
"Sister Hill mentioned to Sister Bastian the question about white buttons, and we totally don't want this to be frustrating especially for the young girls (and their Mothers), so we have decided to let the white buttons be ok!! We don't need the buttons to match the blouse exactly (but if they do that's wonderful), we just don't want shiny buttons"
Hopefully this will help make shopping for those tops a little easier and make it a tad easier to breathe. :) We love you and hope you are having a great week. See you in a couple of weeks!
When the sister was talking about earrings she said we weren't going to worry about them. Does that mean we are not wearing earrings, or they don't care what earrings we wear as long as they are not shiney?
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda. There will be no earrings for this Broadcast. :)
DeleteIs there a way we can have someone look at a short wee found to see if will work before the rehearsal in case we need to find something different?

DeleteHi Lacey. You can shoot me a text (801-651-3870) with a photo and I can let you know if it will work. :)
DeleteSo, where is everyone finding these girls blouses in the color scheme? We have searched nearly 30 stores and countless online sites with no luck whatsoever. This is beginning to border on ridiculous. Why are white and green not options?
ReplyDeleteI found a couple different shirts at the Murray DI that worked for my 9 year old (she wears a size 14 in girls). We found them in the women's section though. We found that, depending on the style of the shirt, should could wear a small in women's and it fit just fine. You might try checking the Juniors or Women's dept for an XS shirt (maybe even in the petite section) and see if that works as well for you as it did for us. (Just a tip, if you check DI try the Murray or Sugar House ones. They usually have a better selection, and WVC DI may have been picked over already by the 300 other people shopping for conference outfits.)
DeleteJacob,
DeleteThe di on redwood and 70 th ish south it's where i found the shirt for my daughter as well in the women's section. she is ten but a little bigger. I am going to send Jen a text picture of her in it today and if it doesn't work my next option will be buying a white button up shirt in the school uniform section and dyeing it. Rit dye has a huge color palette available on their website their is a pantone color drop down that shows what colors to mix to get the desired shade. I will also dye an undershirt at the same time to be safe. Hope this helps. I know it's a last option but just wanted to throw it out there. Best of luck!
For the nylons, is sheer black the same as off black?
ReplyDeleteYes, sheer and off black are the same. :)
DeleteAnother idea snow one gave us is to buy white and dye them with the RIT Dye at Walmart.
